Finals and Holidays

Finals have begun. I (Erinn) got really motivated and took 3 out of 4 of them today. I did well, but now am having a really hard time getting motivated again to take the 4th one. So, I was complaining not wanting to study but had nothing to do to procrastinate. I think the conversation went "Why don't people update their blog so that I have something to do?" and Dave said "Why don't you update OUR blog?"

So here I am.

We had a nice Thanksgiving. We were sad to stay here because I was working most of the weekend, but Nicole (cousin-in-law) invited us over to her big family get-together. (very nice of them). We had some food and went to see Scrooge. I forgot to take any pictures. We went shopping on Black Friday, got some great deals, had our own little Thanksgiving dinner that was delicious.

This last Friday we had my grandparents 60th wedding anniversary dinner at Maddox in Brigham City. We were excited to drive up and meet my family from Idaho! And also, Dave had never met most of my extended family, so that was neat, too. We all wore suits and dresses and took turns relating our fondest or funniest memories of grandma and grandpa. The evening was lovely and ended too quickly. It sure was good to see everyone, and..... again I forgot to take pictures. (My camera has been dead)

On Saturday we fly to Florida to spend two whole weeks with the Meyers for Christmas! We are pretty excited. One week of laziness in Florida and one week of fun on a cruise with Dave's extended family. Thank goodness for breaks from school and time with family. We will miss my family, too, but will probably visit in January since we didn't see them for Thanksgiving this year.

Happy One Year Anniversary to us!

We celebrated most of our anniversary on Saturday with some shopping, dinner to Chili's, and a movie called Love Happens. Dave came home from taking a test with a beautiful rose. We cut our still delicious top layer of our wedding cake and had a marvelous weekend! I got Dave a nice sweater for church, sports socks, and a number of beanies for him to choose from (he's picky). Dave got me a GORGEOUS necklace he found at a nice jewelry store close by.

Well, last week was our first tournament game of the 2009 season for flag football. Our team has never won a tournament game in the few years we've been playing. Sad, I know. Anyway, Erinn won a video camera a year ago and was excited for a chance to use it. So while she and the girls (AriAnn, Katie, Nicole, and Carly) cheered us on, we played our hearts out and left blood, sweat and tears on the field. It was a dramatic come from behind win, one for the history books. We won our first tournament game ever and went to Denny's afterward to celebrate. Here are some highlights.

Sick

School begins and actually being able to keep up with the blog goes downhill.

This weekend, we're sick. Yes, both of us. I was supposed to take a fabulous trip with my awesome dietetics friends, bouncing around Denver and learning new things. Instead, the night before I was to leave, I got sick. 24 hours later, Dave is sick. So, we've watched Live Free: Die Hard, The Proposal, Just Like Heaven, She's the Man, The Secret of NIMH, and Supersize Me over the last two days.

Ugh.... What a weekend.

BYU vs. FSU

As most of you know, the BYU home game this week is a bit of a clash for Dave and I. As nice as we usually are to each other, the competition is beginning. Tonight, as Dave was reading Warchant (FSU fan site aka Dave's addiction) I went to youtube the Cougar Fight song. He caught me, however, and youtube wasn't working so he ended up blasting the FSU warchant and turning up his speakers before I could get the BYU fight song. Now if I wasn't as mature as I am this could have gone on for hours of trying to play over each other.... guess we'll just have to let the game solve this!
